Three Data Output Forms of Sensors
Digital Output Type
This type of product mainly includes three output forms: RS232, RS485, and wireless transmission. The specific digital output type is selected based on the actual transmission distance and the complexity of the terrain.
RS232 output is generally suitable for short-distance transmission within 10 meters and has weaker resistance to electromagnetic interference; RS485 output is suitable for longer-distance transmission, typically not exceeding 1000 meters, and has stronger resistance to electromagnetic interference; wireless transmission is suitable for complex terrains.
Analog Output Type
This type of product outputs either an analog current of 4-20mA or an analog voltage of 0-10V. The output current or voltage changes in real-time with distance, with a one-to-one correspondence between the analog value and the distance. For example, the JGS-30A distance sensor, which measures distances from 0.2 to 30 meters, defaults to a current output of 4mA corresponding to 0.2 meters (200mm), and 20mA corresponding to 30 meters (30000mm). The relationship between the output current I and distance L is:
L=(I-4)/Δi+200 (where Δi = (20-4)mA/(30000-200)mm)
The starting and ending points of the analog value, such as the distance values corresponding to 4mA or 20mA, can also be pre-set by the manufacturer according to user requirements (not modifiable by the user) or the interface can be left open for the user to set themselves (requires specialized setup software).
Switch Output
This type of product supports up to two sets of relay switch outputs, each corresponding to a preset distance value. When the measured distance reaches the preset value, the corresponding output terminal disconnects. The preset distance values can be pre-set by the manufacturer according to user requirements (not modifiable by the user) or the interface can be left open for the user to set themselves (requires specialized setup software).
