Carbon dioxide is known as a greenhouse gas and is also the main form of carbon involved in the material cycle. It is involved in the photosynthesis of plants and the respiration of organisms, and human activities also frequently come into contact with carbon dioxide. In summary, carbon dioxide has extensive applications in various industries. Additionally, as one of the important components of the atmosphere, its concentration is a very important detection indicator in environmental quality monitoring.
Based on the needs of various industries, our company produces carbon dioxide infrared analyzers, and this product has important applications in environmental monitoring.
What are the application areas?
1. Measuring the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to help climate practitioners understand the situation of global climate change and the greenhouse effect.
2. It is used for indoor air quality monitoring to ensure the comfort and safety of indoor air.
3. Monitoring the carbon dioxide emissions during industrial production processes. By real-time monitoring and control of the concentration of carbon dioxide, industrial processes can be optimized, production efficiency can be improved, and environmental impact can be reduced.
4. In the food and beverage industry, it can be used to detect the concentration of carbon dioxide in beverages to ensure product quality and taste.
5. In the medical field, it can be used to monitor the concentration of carbon dioxide in respiratory gases to help doctors assess the respiratory function and health status of patients.
What is the working principle?
The carbon dioxide gas analyzer uses infrared rays to measure carbon dioxide. Infrared rays are invisible waves, with a frequency lower than that of visible light. This frequency is lower than red light, which is why it is called "infrared".
Infrared rays are absorbed by gases with "two or more different atoms".
Oxygen has two identical atoms, so oxygen does not absorb infrared rays.
Carbon dioxide is different from oxygen; its atoms are different.
Therefore, because carbon dioxide gas has different atoms, it absorbs infrared rays.
The basic principle of the carbon dioxide gas analyzer is based on infrared and Beer-Lambert's law. This is a combination of two laws, Beer's law and Lambert's law. Only the "Beer-Lambert's law" part of it is taken and applied to infrared waves: the amount of infrared light absorbed is proportional to the concentration of the infrared light-absorbing substance. This is how the carbon dioxide analyzer works. The more carbon dioxide present, the more infrared light is absorbed.
In summary, the working principle of the carbon dioxide infrared gas analyzer is based on the absorption characteristics of carbon dioxide molecules for specific wavelengths of infrared light. The instrument contains an infrared source and an infrared detector. The infrared source emits specific wavelengths of infrared light, which passes through the gas sample chamber and enters the infrared detector. When carbon dioxide molecules are present in the gas sample, they absorb specific wavelengths of infrared light, causing the light signal received by the infrared detector to weaken. By measuring the change in the light signal received by the infrared detector, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the gas sample can be determined.
Our product advantages:
The Xi'an Runle Instrument carbon dioxide infrared gas analyzer has many advantages. First, it has high precision and fast response characteristics, which can accurately measure low concentrations of carbon dioxide. Secondly, the use and maintenance of the instrument are relatively simple and convenient. In addition, it has a long service life and stable performance, and can work stably for a long time. With the continuous progress of technology, it will continue to develop and provide more accurate and reliable gas analysis data for people.
