The multi-component gas analyzer is based on the selective absorption of gas molecules by specific wavelengths of light. Therefore, the concentration of gas components can be inferred by measuring the intensity of the absorbed light. The specific process is as follows:

A light source (such as a laser or a white light lamp) is used to irradiate the molecules in the gas sample. These photons interact with the gas molecules, such as scattering or absorption. The absorbed light will weaken or disappear.

After the interaction of light and gas, the light intensity after passing through the gas sample is measured. This can be achieved by placing an optical detector before and after the gas sample. The optical detector can be a photodiode, a photomultiplier tube, or other light-sensitive devices.

By comparing the light intensity before and after the sample, the absorbed light intensity can be calculated. Using the relationship between the absorbed light intensity and the absorption coefficient of gas molecules for specific wavelengths of light, the concentration of the gas can be inferred.

In practical applications, multi-component gas analyzers usually use multiple wavelengths of light sources and multiple optical detectors to measure the absorption of different gas components by different wavelengths of light. This allows for the simultaneous measurement of multiple gas components and the conversion of light intensity to gas concentration through calibration coefficients. In addition to the spectral analysis principle, other principles such as mass spectrometry principle, infrared absorption principle, etc. can also be used. These principles have higher selectivity and sensitivity when measuring different types of gas components.

Maintenance methods for multi-component gas analyzers:

According to the usage frequency of the instrument and the manufacturer's recommendations, perform calibration operations regularly to ensure the accuracy of the instrument.

Clean the instrument's casing and control panel regularly, using a clean and soft cloth, avoiding the use of chemical substances.

According to the instrument's manual, replace the filter of the gas source regularly to ensure the cleanliness and stability of the gas source.

Avoid the instrument being shaken or collided. Avoid impacts when using it, and store it in a stable position.

Regularly check the connection pipes and interfaces of the instrument to ensure reliable connection and avoid leakage.
